We are enjoying a bit of an Indian Summer right now in my part of the world. Probably the last remnants of any resemblance of warm weather for a while, and I'm happy to have it while it lasts. My favorite time to be outside is in the fall when the colors of summer are hanging on for a while longer & are just accented with the emerging colors of fall. There's something so perfect to me about finding a little outdoor space to resort to even if just outside that space is a bustling city or town with wailing sirens, non-stop traffic and other reminders of life in general. That's probably why I am drawn to small terrace, rooftop and sidewalk gardens. They are tiny oases carved out of a great big world and maybe, if only for a minute, a respite from the endless reminders of things to do.
