Dreamy Beds

This post is inspired by all those sweet little people whose feet make the sweetest little pitter-patter sounds on the floors, whose sticky little fingers are irresistible when they wrap them around one of your own fingers and whose slobbery kisses make you wrinkle your nose at the gooey-ness and realize you're in a class of the very blessed. They are the same little people who can fall asleep just about anywhere....

and who help you expend so much energy just trying to keep pace with theirs, you also are so exhausted that you feel you could sleep just about anywhere yourself....

...but when that civilized, luxury-craving part of your brain (that forces you not to dive into bed before seeing that it is perfectly made, your teeth are brushed and the door and window locks have been checked again) yearns for a bit of poshness, here are some options for pleasant-dreams-inducing sleep.... that is, unless that sweet sleep is once again interrupted by the pitter-patter of those little feet.

Velvet drapes with thick silk tassel fringe and silk taffeta on the French daybed. Is there a more feminine  and luxurious combination? Add the late morning breeze from the open window and I could sleep the morning away. You?

Bella Notte bedlinen. The combination of textures is so dreamy.
