Hi Friends! I read a touching story the other day that I thought you would enjoy:
"The story is told in Spain of a father and his teenage son whose relationship had become strained, so the son ran away from home. The father, however, began a journey in search of his rebellious son. Finally, in Madrid, in a last desperate effort to find the boy, the father put an ad in the newspaper. The ad read: 'Dear Paco, meet me in front of the newspaper office at noon. All is forgiven. I love you. Your father.'
The next day at noon in front of the newspaper office, 800 "Pacos" showed up. They were all seeking forgiveness and acceptance from their fathers." -More Than Married, David & Teresa Ferguson
The coming of spring seems to bring alive the realization that hope truly springs eternal. And much like spring to the earth, acceptance and forgiveness bring new life to strained relationships and new perspective to old problems.
If Spring has sprung in your part of the world, I hope you are eagerly soaking it up!

We are going into autumn now but I guess any time of the year is a good time for acceptance and forgiveness. Thanks for the inspiring little story. x Sharon
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Keri! Thank you so much for sharing this story with us. Yes, spring has sprung here and I am savouring these magical moments. Today I am taking my littlest one out to pick more wild violets and make fairy cakes with pink icing and a violet adourning each one.

ReplyDeleteThank you for coming back to comment. Yes, what else is there than to rejoice over the fact that HIS WAYS are embedded in all the beauty and even all the situations in life where we need to reconsider things and find solutions to our daily dilemmas. HIS WAY is THE WAY to live!
HAPPY DAY KERRI! Ohhhhh....what do you think about the recent uproar in Pinterest land about the terms of service? Anita
Oh that is a lovely story. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteKERRIE dearest, thank you for coming to visit me today dear heart. Oh, the pinterest deal, I had a good conversation with my beloved friend Irina who is a brilliant researcher and thinker. We both agree that blogging for us may look different in the months to come, and I believe that I will no longer pin photos onto boards. It was so convenient, but I think that the issue is with PINTEREST..I THINK! See how confusing it is?
ReplyDeleteI always think that proper citing is the key and having a disclaimer on your blog saying that if you happen to have used a photo that belongs to someone or if you did not proper cite someone, to just have them let you know KINDLY and you will make the appropriate changes.
I send you my fondest blessings for a lovely SPRING DAY!!! Anita

Keri - Our spring started back in early March. Everything is way too early in DC, but I'm not complaining. Just a little worried. I am out twice a day: taking inventory of the garden, and checking on old friends returning home. All seems fine. BTW, love the Paco story :-)
ReplyDeleteBest,

The picture of the baby lamb made me smile. I want a pet lamb now. I won't eat it. I'll just enjoy it as a pet.
